My reasons: 1.highways are the foundation of all transportations,including public transportation.

examples:a.in those remote villages in China, one of the most important reasons to explain their poverty is that there isn't any highway, so almost no communication could be made with the outside world in terms of culture, commerce and education.
b.As Chinese always say,' one can find a way to become rich only after the built of highways'. A considerable part of our exchage of business, information still rely on the traditional tranportation system, therefore, highways are kind of symbols for a city,even a country.
2. Concerning the current traffic problems, it is more efficient to improve highways instead of public transportations.
details:1) What's our traffic problems now? ---- Traffic jam may rank the top in my opinion.
People in China are now enjoying the fruit of development of economy, they can afford private cars, then more and more people join them, to own a private car has become a tendency in China.
Certainly,it is undeniable cars have too much advantages to be refused,however, an increasing number of private cars entail great pressure on traffic.
2) How to solve the problem? ---- To enlarge the capacities of exsisting highways and built new highways appropriately.
we can promote the road surface, upgrade road facilities, enhance regulations, and adjust the distribution of traffic according to different time and road conditions.
3. Public transportation is crucial, however, it is not quite helpful in this problem due to its disadvantages.
details:1) Its shortages: it wastes our time to wait for buses or subways; its routes are often not the nearest ones; it is crowded in buses mostly; the bus stations and metro-stations are always quite far away from where we are and our real destination, etc.
2) With all these weaknesses, public transportation is not able to attract those who own cars. Therefore, the group of people who take public transportation is relatively fixed--- most of them don't own cars. In other words, it has a mere potential market.
Even if the governments take measures to make changes regardless of the risk, the market of it is still hard to increase, for its nature of 'public'. Nowadays, people want customized services.
conclusion: public transportation is of significance in our daily life, since there are still numerous people choose to take buses or subways,and they have few other choice. However, if we have to choose one to be given preferential finacing, maybe people all have their own reasons. In my opinion, highways are prior to public transportation.
There is a saying in China, 'To find a way to become rich, you should get highways first of all'. It's very reasonable. For highways stand for communications in some degree. In past times, these remote villages in China didn't have any highways to the outside world, people there have to stay in the small places all their lives. How can closeness like that bring exchanges to them in terms of commerce, information and products? But if there are highways, then there are ways.
In nowadays, highways play key roles in a city as an increasing amount of private cars congest all the roads. Traffic jam is a nightmare for lots of people. Most of us have experienced it. One of the causes is concerning highways including there aren't enough highways in the city and the layout of roads is not appropriate.
Therefore, building more highways with reasonable layout can meet the demand of transportation.
In China, the number of highways is increasing as its economic progress day by day, however, we still complain about the mess of our traffic as always. Why? This is because the growth of roads can never catch up that of private cars. It takes us several years to build highways, but one day, there are thousands of new cars running in roads. Public transportation is another effective measures we adopt. Government calls for citizens to take buses so as to ease the traffic pressure. However, those relatively rich people still prefer to have private cars and now more and more Chinese can afford a car. So if the government wants to attract more people to utilize public transportion, improving the transportation system is of great significance. For instance, adjusting the schedule and route of buses, sending more buses in busy times, etc.
To sum up, I mean that we should firstly have a way for veichles to drive on, then on this basis, We attach importances to both highways and public transportation in order to improve our living environment for they enhance each other.
August 29 Why people visit museums? Why people visit museums?
Almost every relatively large city has its own museum. In the museums are often the 'evidents' which can show a city or country's honorable long history, significant civilization or other well-known achievements. So museums is perhaps the first choice for a tourist who wants to learn the city or country.
What's displayed in a museum must be the essence, just like the Louvre Palace in France which is regarded as one of three great museums in the world. Those celebrated arworks such as Venus sculpture and Mona lisa painting are quite familar to us. If one day, I get a chance to visit France, Louvre is definitely the priority of my touring plan. So you see, that's the charm a fantastic museum has. We all hope someday we can stand in the front of it no matter whether we love arts or not.
The other two are the metropolian museum as well as the British museum. They are not as famous as Louvre. However, if you are going to visit US or UK, your guidance will probably recommend these museums to you. For they both play an important role in civilization of their own country. Those items on display are not just gorgeous arts, they are the country's pride wherever they were produced, people just concern where they are displayed.

I believe lots of persons haven't had experiences visiting a museum up to now, like me. And my excuses are always that I have no time, no money or I am not interested in it at all. Actually, it would not cost much time and money, and after listing the above reasons by myself, I think it should be an intereting and enjoyable place. It is now on my schedule. With regard to the media today, they have to utilize the private lives of famous people in order to stimulate their circulation. Especially under the pressure that less people choose to read news. This rule is not only true to traditional media, but also the websites. However, the condition is different among different medias, since each media has its own focus and orientation. It is beyond our imagination that the Finacial Times and Walstreet are full of pictures and articles about which hollywood superstar is falling love again or broke up again.
There are "specialists" all the time. Some certain media's sales point is the information concerning the personal lives of popular stars. Several days before, a well-know singer who is one of the members of singer group' twins' was shooted secretly during her concert in Malaysia. And at that time she was changing her underware. This event arose hot debates in Hongkong and meanwhile, the circulation of this magazine is increasing by a large margine.
In my opinion, as a famous person, sometimes you do have to sacrifice part of your privacy. And if you choose this job, you have to prepare for it. The most important is how deep can media dig into their privacy and the basis is mutual understanding. The media needs superstar, because their faces make up the entertain section; famous people needs media, because the media can spread their information throughout the world.
As I just said the popular stars have to expose part of their privacy to the general public, I don't mean I agree that media can get whatever they want. Still taking the poor girl above as an example, the media involved in this incident is just beyond the "safety level", they hurt her fundemental rights as a humanbeing in some degree. And I learned from internet that the girl have went into the police office. I heartily appreciate her courage for she knows how to protect herself and this event may bring about a more peaceful and standardized media world in HongKong at least.
I think to standardize the entertainment industry, the most crucial factor is 'regulations' which we lacked today. Just like our society can function in harmony because of laws and regulations, this messy sector also need them. August 27 Should people sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing?Should people sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing?
I think that maybe all of us are in face of this problem. And in most cases, the fact is that are we always able to do things we like to do.
Firstly, in nowadays world, which is full of regulations and we people have to obey them. Among these regulations, there are definetly something we do not enjoy. For instance, when you drive your car to your set destination, but there's infraconstruction taking place in the road, so the notice beside it is: please turn around and drive on another road. And unfortunately, it costs an additional one hour's drive. You could be very angry with it and perhaps curse it especially when what you're going to do is urgent. More unfortunately, you have to accept this bad situation and calm down. There're numerous examples in our daily life.
For me, taking exams is always the last thing I want to do. However, I have to face a great many of examinations in middle school. It is my nightmare when teachers come to the classroom carrying a pile of papers and say that let's have an exam right now. No matter how unfavorable this feeling is, the only I can do is taking a deep breath and smiling bitterly. Just like what Chinese say, to endure and get through painful conditions with a positive attitude.
Then comes the dilemma that sometimes the things we do not enjoy maybe helpful for us. Or in other words, these helpful things are often not so favorable and enjoyble.
To study when classmates around you are playing games is very hard for a student, but if this can push your scores on to a new lever, would you still choose it? Choices is hard to make, as always. Some people will choose it, perhaps they are going to compete with other fellows in next examination which is a decisive factor for their promising future. So, sometimes we need to do unenjoyable things.
We have heard many many times that just do as you like. That's right, and it is not conflicting with the above words. We can choose what we like to do, however, in this process it is possible you will do what you don't like. You may now learn to play piano, that's exactly what you love, but you can't enjoy every minute of the seemingly endless practices, or the dull finger practices. Or you have to play in front of other people and you are such a shy guy that you're afraid of showing before audiences, but you still have to do, right? If you decides to be a great pianist.
You see, life is beautiful because it gives us roses as well as throns, or we feel happyness as well as sadness. The things you do not enjoy can be quite crucial. So just enjoy everything and cheer you up.
